The New IO-390 A3A6 210 HP Lycoming Engine has now been installed on my '58 Cessna 175. Installation is the same as the IO-360 200 HP. All PMA/FAA approved parts for the IO-360 will be used for the IO-390.
The IO-390 comes with Roller Tappets and Cam and Counter Weighted Crankshaft. This engine runs really Smooth. With only 2hrs of flight time on the installation it's showing about 5mph faster on about the same fuel burn. I'm using the HC-C2YR-1BF/F8477-4 Hartzell Prop. With more flight time I will get the numbers down to show it's performance. As you can see below at 65% Cruise power fuel comsumption is .4 gph LESS! than the IO-360 200hp.
